  • Day 01: Marrakech – Imlil Valley 1740m - Aroumd Village 2000m - Marrakech
  • At 09.00 Depart from Marrakech by H1/ 4x4 / Land Rover ... into the valley of Ait Mizan (64 km from Marrakech) in the Toubkal Massif ) , the highest in North Africa (Toubkal 4167m). On this day trip is intended to introduce you to the mountainous and rural valley of Imlil at the foot of the Toubkal summit. It is the highest peak in North Africa (4167), varied nature in the heart of its colorful terrace cultivation valley, The Berbers who live on the mountain slopes are used to fight hard against the harsh winter climate, Their hospitality is legendary , We shall stop at Aroumd to visit this rather singular village in the Assif Aït Mizane Valley, built seemingly house upon house, overlooking ancient irrigated terraced fields of barley, corn and vegetables and surrounded by almond and walnut trees 17:00 Return to your hotel, Marrakech..

What is the weather like?

What is the weather like? The best time of year for trekking is from around May to October. In May and November it can still be very cold at night – below freezing – and there is the possibility of snowfalls which can result in a change of route. Usually by the end of May the snow has gone and even the summit of Toubkal is free of snow. In the height of summer it can be very hot – up to 40C – during the day but the nights are still cold. Although the climate is generally dry and sunny, heavy storms can occur at any time.
