Itineraries

Day 1: Marrakech – Tichka pass 2660– Ait Ben Haddou Visit – Roses Valley – Dades Gorges

First we cross the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass of the High Atlas Mountains where you pass in the highest pass in Morocco at 2260m altitude. We will visit kasbah of Ait benhaddou which is one of the oldest fortress in Morocco. Here also many movies were filmed as : Gladiator,Kingdom of heaven,The Mummy,etc. Then we head towards the Dades valley through Ourzazatte,called as “the Hollywood of Africa” . We will stop by the Tawrirt kasbah , we may visit a cinema studio here. We will pass through Skoura and the Rose valley. Then we drive to our hotel in the Dades gorge where we stay overnight in a local hotel.

Day 2: Dades valley - Todgha gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga

The second day to the desert of Merzouga but first we will visit the Todgha gorge which is one the beautiful canyons in Morocco where you may hike in the gorge. Afterwards we drive through few Berber villages. We pass Erfoud and Rissani to reach Merzouga desert where we stay overnight in a traditional Berber tent in the middle of the sand dunes. You will experience camel trek in Sahara desert.

Day 3: Merzouga – Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fes

Around 5h30 a.m, you will wake up to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes, possibly the best moment of Merzouga desert, followed by a typical breakfast in the bivouac of Merzouga, then you will ride back the camels, to meet you driver and travel from Merzouga dunes to Fes via the beautiful Ziz valley, Errachida and Midelt. Lunch on the way and short break to watch the monkeys in cedar forests of the middle Atlas close to Azrou city at “Gourrou forests”. You will continue to Fes, where your tour from Marrakech to Fes ends. For information Fes is considered to be the 4th largest city of Moroccan kingdom, it is devide into 3 sections (1:Ville Nouvelle built by French protectorate, 2: Fes El Bali or the interior of walls and ramparts and 3: Fes Jdid). In order to access to the medina of Fes, the main gate is Bab Boujeloud.

Day 4: Sightseeing of Fes

After breakfast in your Riad, you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 14th century. We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest one in the world, the Tanneries and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. Overnight at the same Riad.

Day 5: Fes - Chafchaouen

We leave early in the morning for Chefchaouen, passing through the magical Rif Mountains and taking in the breathtaking scenery. Today in Chefchaouen, you will have the entire evening free to explore the blue city. It is a city in Morocco's northwestern Rif Mountains. It is well-known for its remarkable buildings in various shades of faded blue in its old town. Its steep cobbled alleys are lined with leather and weaving workshops. The Kasbah with red walls, fortress and keep from the fifteenth century, with ethnographic and artistic exhibitions, is located in the shaded central square of Outa el Hammam. Not far away, the Great Mosque's octagonal minaret rises.

Day 6: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca

After a couple of hours of driving, you will arrive in Rabat, Morocco's capital. After breakfast in Chefchaouen, we drive to Rabat. You will go on Hassan II's Tour. Then continue on to Casablanca, where you can visit Morocco's best mosque. Hassan II Mosque.

Day 7: Casablanca – Marrakech

After 3 hours driving you will get to Marrakech where you will have free time to visit the authentic city of Marrakech, night with dinner and breakfast

Day 8: Marrakech - City Visit - Airport

Possible to visit the city of Marrakech & transfer to the airport
